On An Average Day (West End London, 2002)

John Kolvenbach's first play centers around two brothers, alienated for 23 years, who are reunited in the dilapidated family home where the younger one still lives. Bob is a sociopathic slob, facing jail for throwing a man from a car; Jack seems successful and disciplined but nurses his own considerable demons. Together, they remember a dark shared history, which includes the mysterious disappearance of their father, in this darkly humorous tale about the nature of redemption.
